The Connecticut Department of Education’s Parent’s Guide to Special Education in Connecticut defines special education as "specially designed instruction to meet a student’s unique needs and to enable the student to access the general curriculum of the school district".
The Region 20 School District prioritizes the whole child and offers a continuum of supports for students with unique learning challenges. We strive to offer as many opportunities for social/emotional, academic and extra-curricular growth as possible. Encouraging students to meet their personal best within a culture of inclusion and acceptance is our daily mission for all students, regardless of their learning profiles.
